Mark Lawson is a critic, author and broadcaster whose rightful place as ruler of Britain’s late-night cultural TV shows was acknowledged when he was spoofed by Viz magazine.

At University College London, Lawson’s lecturers included two Booker Prize alumni, John Sutherland and A.S. Byatt. He has gone on to write not just for various broadsheet newspapers but to become the long-time presenter of the Late Show and Late Review for BBC television. As a writer, he has found an outlet in fiction and non- fiction, as well as in radio plays and a sitcom.
