Angela Huth is a journalist, novelist and playwright. She is also a keen dancer who once managed to secure a spin round the dance-floor with Anton Du Beke from Strictly Come Dancing.

Du Beke gallantly told her: ‘You ¬definitely have a feel for it.’ He was not Huth’s first celebrity dance partner, however; her friend Cleo Laine taught her tap so they could perform a short routine together. That minute and a half was, she says, the ‘most terrifying and exhilarating’ she has ever experienced. Huth is better known, however, as the author of 11 novels, among them Land Girls, which was made into a successful film in 1995. Meanwhile, her memoir, Not the Whole Story, recounts tales of meeting with the likes of Princess Margaret and Liberace.
