Win one of five copies of our Monthly Spotlight title for June, plus a limited-edition Booker Prize tote bag

Publication date and time: Published

To celebrate our Monthly Spotlight for June, The Van by Roddy Doyle, we’re offering you the chance to win a copy of the book and a limited-edition Booker Prize tote bag.

Shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1991, the hilarious third novel of Roddy Doyle’s Barrytown trilogy focuses on Jimmy Rabbitte Senior and his adventures – and misadventures – working in a fast-food van against the backdrop of the 1990 football World Cup.

This year, Doyle has curated and contributed to a new Booker Prizes Quick Read, All Around the World. It’s a collection of seven short stories, written by Booker Prize- and International Booker Prize-nominated authors, aimed at adults who are experiencing barriers to reading, and published in partnership with The Reading Agency.

The Booker Prize tote bags feature illustrations by artist Iris de Moüy and aren’t available to buy.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply enter your details below by 12:00 BST on Wednesday, 1 July 2026.

This competition is open to readers anywhere in the world.
