Trezza Azzopardi was born in Cardiff and lives in Norwich. She is the author of The Hiding Place, which was shortlisted for the 2000 Booker Prize in 2000.
The Hiding Place, her first novel, also won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize and was shortlisted for the James Tait Black Memorial Prize. Her second novel, Remember Me, was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year, as was Winterton Blue, which was published in 2008. Her books have been translated into 17 languages.
