A translator from Russian to English, Reuben Woolley was the recipient of the National Centre for Writing's Emerging Translator Mentorship in Russian for 2020-21.
Wooley received a BA in English and Russian from Oxford University in 2021, and is returning to Oxford to complete an MSt in Comparative Literature and Critical Translation in 2023, for which he received the St. Anne’s College OCCT scholarship.
Woolley is a frequent book reviewer for Rights in Russia, and his translations have been published in Index on Censorship magazine and Cardinal Points journal, as well as on the websites LeftEast and openDemocracy.
