To celebrate our June Book of the Month, The Long Song by Andrea Levy, we are giving you the chance to win a copy of the novel and an exclusive, limited-edition, money-can’t-buy Booker Prize tote bag. We have five bundles to give away.
Set in Jamaica during the last turbulent years of slavery and the early years of freedom that followed,Andrea Levy’s 2010 shortlisted novel The Long Song is a thrilling journey through that time in the company of people who lived it. Based on the lives of the people who live and work on the Amity sugar plantation, the narrative centres around July, a slave girl with an indomitable spirit for survival.
The Booker Prize tote bags, which are not available to buy, are designed by Leanne Shapton, who is the first art editor for the New York Review of Books, an author and illustrator, as well as having been a judge for the Booker Prize in 2018.
