To celebrate our Monthly Spotlight for March, A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James, we are giving you the chance to win a copy of the novel and a limited-edition Booker Prize tote bag.
In his 2015 Booker Prize-winning novel, Marlon James explores the extraordinary backstory to the attempted assassination of Bob Marley.
Jamaica, 1976. Seven gunmen storm Bob Marley’s house, machine guns blazing. The reggae superstar survives, but the gunmen are never caught. Marlon James investigates the story behind this near-mythical event – and its complex aftermath. The result is a mesmerising, continent-crossing tale that spans three decades, with a shadowy cast of street kids, drug lords, journalists, prostitutes, gunmen and secret service agents.
The Booker Prize tote bags feature illustrations by the artist Iris de Moüy and are not available to buy anywhere.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply enter your details below by 12:00 GMT on Monday, March 31, 2025. This competition is open to readers anywhere in the world.
