Mark Damazer CBE was a journalist and executive at the BBC for 30 years. He was Controller of BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra, and Deputy Head of BBC News. He was a member of the BBC Trust between 2015 and 2019

From 2010 to 2019 he was Master of St Peter’s College, Oxford. He was the senior non-executive member of the Board of the Victoria and Albert Museum and is currently Chair of Trinity College, London and a member of the governing body of The Architectural Association. He is a Fellow of the Radio Academy and a Patron of The Voice of The Listener and Viewer. He writes for various papers and periodicals. 

Mark Damazer is a member of the Booker Prize Foundation’s board of trustees.
