Hardeep Singh Kohli is a Scottish writer, presenter, broadcaster and reporter.

Of Punjabi Sikh descent, Hardeep Singh Kohli’s parents came to the UK from India in the 1960s. While still a law student at the University of Glasgow, Kohli worked as an Usher at the Citizens Theatre – where he developed a love of playwright Arthur Miller. After graduating, he joined the BBC Scotland graduate production trainee scheme, which involved two years of training before moving to BBC in London to direct television series. In the years since, he has produced, directed and presented many award-winning shows for the BBC and Channel 4. Kohli writes a column, Hardeep Is Your Love, for Scotland on Sunday and also occasionally writes for The Guardian and The Independent. Kohli wrote a book about food and travel in India called Indian Takeaway: One Man’s Attempt to Cook His Way Home, published in 2009.
