Steve Toltz’s blisteringly funny debut is this uproarious tale of a father and son whose spiritual symmetry transcends all their many shortcomings.
Steve Toltz was born in Sydney. A Fraction of the Whole (2008) was his first book, followed by Quicksand (2015).
His riotous debut novel was shortlisted for the 2008 Booker Prize. He has lived in Sydney, Montreal, Vancouver, Barcelona and Paris, working primarily as a screenwriter and freelance writer, but also doing stints as both a private investigator and an English teacher.
