Matthew Kneale
Born in London, Matthew Kneale is the author of several critically acclaimed novels, including Sweet Thames which won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize.
His ambitious historical novel, English Passengers, won the 2000 Whitbread Book of the Year Award and was longlisted for the 2000 Booker Prize. He and his wife live in Rome with their two children.
