Submissions are now open to UK and Irish publishers

  • Please ensure you have read the rules before completing this form.   
  • The call-in system is a secondary method of submission for the prize and the judges are required to consider the nominations carefully.   
  • Each imprint may nominate alongside its standard submission/s, up to five further eligible works. The deadline is 3 March 2025.  
  • This form is only for UK and Irish publishers. Authors and agents are not permitted to nominate books for the prize  
  • Once your form is complete, please email [email protected] attaching: 
  1. the full PDF of the book 
  2. the first chapter in a separate file 
  3. and a justification letter (no more than 250 words) on headed notepaper, written and signed by the commissioning editor, explaining why the work should be considered  
  • If no text is available at the time of call-in, it should be forwarded as soon as it is available.

Personal Data  

While not all of the author personal data fields are marked as required, please provide as much information in the submission form as you can. This year the Booker Prize Foundation will not be pre-notifying publishers before the longlist announcement, so we will use any information supplied by publishers in this form and/or in assets supplied by email, in our public announcement. Please ensure that you have the sufficient authority from the author to enable you to provide correct information for this purpose. Our privacy policy can be found here.  

Confidentiality  

Should any information be made available to you during the prize process that is embargoed, the Booker Prize Foundation will do so on the basis that it must not be disclosed to any third party outside of your organisation and should be shared with anyone within your organisation on a strictly need-to-know basis, until the embargo date and time. By completing this entry form, you confirm that you/the publicist and/or editor accept responsibility to ensure the embargo is observed.
