Submissions are now open to UK and Irish publishers

  • Please ensure you have read the rules before completing this form.
  • The call-in system is a secondary method of submission for the prize and the judges are required to consider the nominations carefully.
  • Each imprint may nominate alongside its standard submission/s, up to five further eligible works. The deadline is March 4, 2024.
  • This form is only for UK and Irish publishers. Authors and agents are not permitted to nominate books for the prize
  • Once your form is complete, please email [email protected] attaching the full PDF of the book, the first chapter in a separate file, and a justification letter (no more than 250 words) on headed notepaper, written and signed by the commissioning editor, explaining why the work should be considered. If no text is available at the time of call-in, it should be forwarded as soon as it is available.
  • There is a separate form for standard submissions, which can be found here

Personal Data

Please help the Booker Prize Foundation by providing as much information in the entry form as you can. While not all of the author personal data fields are marked as required, we ask for this information for use in any public statements we make about the prize, for example the longlist announcement. We will also share relevant information with media for their guidance at an appropriate time. Please ensure that you have the sufficient authority from the author to enable you to provide this information for this purpose. We will check any author pronouns are up to date before making any public announcements. Our privacy policy can be found here.

Should any information be made available to you during the prize process that is embargoed, the Booker Prize Foundation will do so on the basis that it must not be disclosed to any third party outside of your organisation and should be shared with anyone within your organisation on a strictly need-to-know basis, until the embargo date and time. By completing this entry form, you confirm that you/the publicist and/or editor accept responsibility to ensure the embargo is observed.
