For over 50 years, the Booker Prizes have celebrated the world's most outstanding fiction, whether written in or translated into English
Since 1969, almost 700 books have been longlisted for the Booker or International Booker Prize, bringing recognition to authors and translators from all over the world - and introducing readers to works of quality fiction that have, in many cases, changed their lives. The Booker Library showcases these extraordinary works alongside their exceptional authors in one unique space.
For the first time the Booker Library, which showcases almost 700 winning, shortlisted, and longlisted titles from the Booker Prize and International Booker Prize’s rich 55-year history, has been brought to life as a pop-up-shop-within-a-bookshop.
Located on the Lower Ground floor at Waterstones’ flagship bookshop in London, the Booker Library at Waterstones Piccadilly covers 44 bays and offers customers the chance to explore and shop for every in-print title from the Booker Prizes’ extensive backlist, alongside interactive features including audio and events.
Visitors can get their photograph taken with a life-size version of Iris, the iconic Booker Prize trophy, and marvel at the beautiful designer bound copies of this year’s shortlist.
Running until the end of December 2024, the Booker Library is an essential destination for all lovers of quality literature.
