2013 Man Booker Prize Shortlist Announced on 10th September

The shortlist for the 2013 Man Booker Prize will be announced live at a press conference at 10.30 am on Tuesday 10th September.  Check back then to find out the news first or follow us on twitter @ManBookerPrize.

There will be six books on the shortlist, chosen from the current longlist of 13 books, itself originally whittled down from 151 submitted titles.

This year’s judging panel - Robert Macfarlane (chair), Robert Douglas-Fairhurst, Natalie Haynes, Martha Kearney and Stuart Kelly – have been busy rereading the longlisted titles to determine which ones will make the cut, while we have been busy interviewing the longlisted authors. We will be posting a Q&A session online every day this week, probing the authors about their writing, the Man Booker Prize and what they are planning next. Keep checking the site to see their answers!
